Privacy policy

In short: Anı Defteri collects nothing you write. Your memories, photos and voice recordings stay on your phone only. No account, no server, no ads, no tracking.

What you put into the app

• Your baby's date of birth; optionally their name and due date.
• Your answers to the daily question, the photos and voice recordings you add.
• Your "yes / not yet / not sure" answers to development questions.
• Settings such as language and reminder time.

All of this is stored on your phone, in the app's own storage. It is not sent to us or to anyone else; the app sends no data over the internet.

Permissions and what they are for

Photos

Only the photo you pick is copied into the app's storage so it can be attached to a memory. The rest of your library is not looked at.

Microphone

Recording happens only when you tap "say it out loud", for at most one minute. The recording stays on your phone.

Speech recognition

Used to turn your recording into text. The app is set to do this only on the phone itself; if your phone cannot, no text is made and the recording is not sent anywhere.

Notifications

One reminder a day, scheduled on your phone. It shows that day's question and your baby's name (if you entered one). There is no notification server.

Sharing

If you share a memory or the year's book (PDF), your phone's share sheet opens and the content goes only where you choose. The app never shares anything on its own.

Backups

If your phone's backup (iCloud or a computer) is on, the app's data is included in it. Those backups are governed by Apple and your own settings; we have no access to them.

Deleting

When you delete an entry in the app, its photo and voice recording are deleted from the phone too. Deleting the app deletes all of its data. We hold no copy of yours, because we never took one.

Children

Anı Defteri is for parents. What you enter about your baby stays on your phone and is not shared with anyone.

Not medical advice

The development ranges in the app are general information, not a diagnosis or treatment. Every baby develops at their own pace. Ask your doctor about your baby's health.

Changes

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the date above changes. If the app were ever to start collecting data, we would say so clearly, here and in the app, first.
